Fine and subtle, necklaces tangle easily, whether gold or silver. They can become entangled with the chains of other necklaces or bracelets, forming knots that can be difficult to untangle.
To untangle a necklace and avoid breaking or damaging it, here are 4 simple and effective tips for gently undoing it.
Tip n°1
The easiest way to untangle your necklace is to slide the chain between your fingers, and carefully massage the knot to untangle it. Don't pull the chain too hard, or it will break. Patience is your best ally.
Tip n°2
If your necklace chain is very tangled, you can use a needle to insert it into the knot. You can then gently pull the links to enlarge the knot and loosen it. This will allow you to loosen the knot more easily and gently.
Tip 3
If the knot persists, you can use talcum powder, sprinkled over the knot. The talcum powder will lubricate the chain and help loosen the knot. You can also use a needle to help you untangle the knot more quickly.
Tip 4
If the collar knot is particularly difficult to untangle, you can use healing oil or olive oil to lubricate the chain links. Apply a few drops to the necklace knot, then use your fingers or a needle to gently work it until it comes loose.
